Free Rideshare Service from Kalfus & Nachman
To do our part in preventing drunk driving accidents, our Norfolk personal injury lawyers from Kalfus & Nachman have launched our Safe Rides Home campaign with the Twitter hashtag #HurtLineSafeRide. Throughout the year on select holidays and major community events, you can rely on us to get you home safely – and for free! Examples of days on which we will give out free rides home include New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, and Super Bowl Sunday, all three of which see significant spikes in car accidents each year due to drunk drivers.
Key details for our Safe Rides Home campaign:
- You must be 21 or older to receive a free rideshare ride home.
- Rides begin at (6:30 pm EST) and end at 12:00 midnight.
- Free rides must be from a bar or restaurant, and to your home or apartment.
- Rides cannot be guaranteed; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests.
- There is a $35 cap on Lyft and Uber reimbursement. (Click here to access the Reimbursement Form.)
- You can only get one free ride per each national holiday or major community event.
- For more information about what constitutes a national holiday or major community event for our Safe Ride Home campaign, call Kalfus & Nachman at (855) 880-8163.
Due to unpredictable volumes of campaign participants, we cannot guarantee that every caller will receive a free ride with our Safe Ride Home campaign. We promise to make every possible attempt to accommodate everyone. Keeping our communities safe by providing free rides home is a top priority of our Norfolk personal injury law firm.
Please do not drink and drive. Even if you have one drink, driving can be dangerous. Instead, take advantage of our Safe Rides Home program to get home safe. Call (855) 880-8163 for more information.
Why We Started the Safe Rides Home Campaign
New Year's Eve, Superbowl Sunday, and St. Patrick's Day are three of the most exciting days of the year—but they are also three of the most dangerous. On virtually every holiday or popular community day – like a major sports event – the risk of drunk driving accidents increases dramatically. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), drunk driving accidents claim around 37 American lives each day, and in 2022, 13,524 people lost their lives due to the mistakes of drunk drivers. Countless more each year will be seriously injured in collisions caused by drunk drivers, resulting in life-changing injuries and disabilities.
We started the Safe Rides Home campaign because, as highly experienced Norfolk personal injury attorneys, we have seen the consequences of drunk driving far too many times through the cases we handle for our clients. If our campaign can prevent just one drunk driving accident, we’ll be grateful, but we’re hoping to stop as many as possible. Please share information about the Safe Rides Home campaign with your friends, family, and coworkers. Together, we can help bring drunk driving accident rates down to zero.

Working with both Paul Hernandez and Colin O’Dawe during my case was a smooth and easy process. What a weird time for all of this to happen. I'm grateful for the down to earth, no BS, approach to my case. Though we had to draw it out due to the pandemic and the idiocy of the military medical system, the K&N staff stuck with me and always treated me with kindness and respect. The ladies at the front are the sweet angels that make you miss your grandma. They deserve all the love!!- AshleyAnn
