A 63-year-old Newport News man was seriously injured after he was hit by a car in the parking lot of Wendy's at approximately 12:00 p.m. on September 12, 2018.
The accident being investigated and more details will be released at a later time.
The Newport News Police received an emergency call about the accident responded to the Wendy’s at the 15400 block of Warwick Boulevard.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was reported to be in life-threatening condition.
Police say the driver was a 67-year-old woman from Hampton. She was driving a 2010 NIssan Sentra.
Police also said the driver of the car that hit the man remained at the scene after the accident.
