Virginia accident reports from last night (August 15th, 2017) have stated that there were two serious auto accidents in Hampton Roads that collectively caused four fatalities.

The first accident reportedly occurred on E. Little Creek Road in Norfolk and involved a head-on collision. According to police reports, a silver Chrysler 200 was driving in the wrong direction and struck a black Hyundai Sonata head-on. The driver of the Chrysler – a 39-year old female – was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The driver of the Hyundai – a 26-year old individual – was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with severe injuries but later perished.

The second fatal accident of the night occurred on I-264 during the morning rush hour. The collision was reported between First Colonial Road and Laskin Road. Two people were killed in the crash and another person was injured. According to the accident reports, an eastbound vehicle crossed over the median and struck two westbound vehicles. Thorough details about the drivers and the exact circumstances of the accident have not yet been released to the public. Detours have been set up to direct traffic away from the crash site. Drivers have been asked to use the First Colonial Road entrance either by Laskin Road or Virginia Beach Boulevard.
