This year Kalfus and Nachman was honored to be a part of the Menchville High School, Every 15 Minutes Program, which was a two-day program focusing on high school juniors and senior, which challenges them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions and the impact their decisions have on family, friends and many others. The goal is reduce alcohol related incidents among teenagers in Newport News and the surrounding cities.
Various agencies participated in the program Newport News Commonwealth Attorney's Office, Riverside Regional Hospital, Peninsula Funeral Home and Newport News Fire and Police along with the High School Staff and Students.
The program is designed to create awareness among students at Menchville High School that they are not invincible to death and maiming. This program helps open the emotional doors, and it addresses a problem most teens do not know exists. During the two day program they experience first hand how their actions affect the lives of so many other people.
Here at Kalfus and Nachman we are dedicated to educating the community on the effects of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and the consequences.
