Attorney A.J. Kalfus is a founding partner and co-managing shareholder at Kalfus & Nachman. Along with Stuart Nachman, he launched the practice in 1979 and has been able to watch it grow into one of the most well-known personal injury firms in the area.
A.J. prides himself on keeping clients informed of the progress in their case at every step, as well as doing everything in his power to make sure everyone is treated fairly, no matter how big or small the case. His areas of focus include civil matters, corporate and business transactions, real estate closings and related matters, and tax-related issues.
Mr. Kalfus grew up in Massachusetts and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Norfolk College of William and Mary.
He began his career working for a national accounting firm and a mid-sized firm in Beverly Hills, California, and passed the CPA exam to become licensed in California. Following that, he accepted a position to teach accounting at the University of Tennessee.
It was here he became more interested in the field of law and enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Law. He passed the Virginia bar after his second year and has been practicing ever since.
